One of the resolutions I made after we returned from our trip to Vancouver Island was to find some good trails to run near home.
I’ve run some short stuff since then, but nothing like what’s available out west. Until today (I hope). A group of us are driving out to Rouge Park in the east end of Toronto to check out the trails there this morning.
It’s billed as Canada’s Premier Urban Wilderness Park, so you can imagine that I’m super excited to see what kind of trail running we find. I’m hoping for something similar to what we hiked at Cobble Hill Mountain – fairly wide trails with lots to look at and varied terrain.
I’ll definitely have a write up on Toronto Trail Runs for this one, detailing where we parked, the route we ran, and what it was like.
